The Faculty of Technology (FT) at Unicamp will open its doors this Wednesday (10) to welcome students, teachers and the community interested in learning more about the scientific and technological training opportunities offered by the institution. From 9 am to 17 pm, the 'FT Open Doors' event aims to present undergraduate courses, research lines, laboratories and the work developed at the faculty.
During the event, visitors will be able to participate in interactive activities, guided tours, lectures, and hands-on demonstrations organized by faculty and students.
Aimed at high school and technical school students, as well as anyone wishing to take the university entrance exam, the event offers an excellent opportunity to explore the fields of engineering and technology, in addition to clarifying doubts about the selection process and university life on the Unicamp campus in Limeira (SP).
“This will be a great opportunity for students and their parents to learn about what is done here at FT and to become part of our community,” said Professor Vitor Coluci, from the Computer Science department at FT and president of the event's organizing committee.
According to him, the students will have direct contact with the four major areas that make up the FT – computing, environment, transport and telecommunications. Schools from Limeira and other cities in the region have registered for the event.
Agenda
This year's FT Open House will feature guided tours – a time when senior students will show the campus and what each course offers. Students will also be able to explore the campus through a virtual model; follow the work being done by students, visit research labs and see what researchers are doing. Visitors will also get to know student organizations and their projects and, at the end, can record their participation in the photo studio.
FT offers the following free undergraduate courses: Telecommunications Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, and Technology in Systems Analysis and Development. In addition, the college has postgraduate programs (master's and doctoral degrees) in the field of Technology.
The Faculty of Technology (FT) is located at Rua Paschoal Marmo, 1888, Jardim Nova Itália, in Limeira (SP). For further information, please visit the website https://wordpress.ft.unicamp.br/ftpa or write to the email address ftpa@unicamp.br.
