The Rector's Office of the State University of Campinas clarifies that it has become aware of the theft of research materials from the premises of the Institute of Biology (IB).
Given the seriousness of the event and the nature of the scientific assets involved, the Institution promptly contacted the Federal Police (PF) and the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) to conduct the necessary investigations and expert procedures.
The University clarifies that it has been taking all appropriate measures and fully cooperating with the competent authorities. Those possibly involved in the incident will be held accountable, as stipulated by current legislation.
Additional information regarding the inquiry will be withheld so as not to compromise the progress of the investigations.
