The hybrid work schedule and municipal traffic enforcement on the Unicamp campus in Campinas were the central themes of the 15th edition of the Paepe Managers Forum (Teaching, Research and Extension Support Professionals), held this Wednesday (11) in the auditorium of the Social Benefits Management Group (GGBS). The event was attended by the rector Paulo Cesar Montagner and the general coordinator of the University, Fernando Coelho.

Glaucia Lorenzetti, a staff member in the strategic projects area of the General Directorate of Human Resources (DGRH), explained to managers the criteria adopted by the administration for the implementation of the hybrid work schedule – whereby employees can fulfill their work hours remotely once a week. Approved at a meeting of the Administration Committee (CAD) at the end of February, the new rule applies to employees in the Paepe career track and prosecutors. It is expected to come into effect in the first half of 2026.
The university campus mayor, Juliano Finelli, in turn, presented the terms of the agreement signed between Unicamp and the Municipal Development Company of Campinas (Emdec), which regulates the traffic system in the city for the start of traffic enforcement on the Barão Geraldo campus. Starting next Monday (16), traffic agents will start fining drivers who commit infractions.

Since the 2nd of this month, an awareness campaign has been underway. During this period, officers only applied the so-called "moral fine," in which the offending driver was merely given a warning.
The coordinator of GGBS, Luiz Carlos Fernandes Junior, provided information about the organization's activities for the International Women's Day celebrations, and the deputy director of HR at DGRH, Everaldo Pinheiro, provided updates on the implementation process of the electronic timekeeping system at the University.
Improvement in service quality
The rector of Unicamp said he had participated in "all or almost all" editions of the Forum and recalled the importance of the event for improving the quality of service provided at the University.
Montagner spoke about the Administration's decision to adopt the hybrid work schedule and provided updated information on the "unfreezing," the resumption of the counting of service time for public servants (federal, state, and municipal) in the state of São Paulo, which was halted during the pandemic, between May 2020 and December 2021.
Fernando Coelho said that the Forum is a moment for exchanging information. "One of the Forum's functions is to improve work processes, not only from a technical point of view, but above all from a human perspective," he stated.
