New forms of work organized around digital platforms have made it more difficult for workers to organize unions. This is shown by two research papers defended in the postgraduate program in Political Science at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH) at Unicamp: one on app-based drivers and delivery workers, by Eduardo Pereira, and another on e-commerce, by Mateus dos Santos. Professor Andréia Galvão, supervisor of both studies, points out that companies like Uber, 99, and Mercado Livre have expanded in recent years by taking advantage of the precariousness already existing in the labor market.
